writer. sci-fi geek. animal sucker.

Hello n’at!

I’m Anne. I’ve loved science fiction and fantasy since my brother read me The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings when I was nine. I don’t know why he thought this was a good idea because we spent a lot of time figuring out where I’d fallen asleep the time before.

The only thing I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a Star Fleet Officer, so I kind of have to be a writer. I love movies, punk rock, traveling, family stories, otters, unions, Ireland, cooking, and the not-so-little elf who cleans my kitchen every night.

My husband and I live in my hometown—Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (woo hoo!)—and we’re woefully unprepared for the zombie apocalypse. The idea of becoming a zombie because my car runs out of gas is the only thing that gets me to the gas station when it hits a quarter of a tank; otherwise, that Subaru would be running on fumes.

We have that sign that only animals can see that says ‘Suckers Live Here’ on the roof of our house, and no… I am not kidding. It’s a real thing. I’d love to hear from you—>just click right here!<—but be prepared to hear a lot about my dog and cats, who are pictured below.
